& Courses

Clay | connection | creativity

Murrumbateman & Canberra

  • Because you don’t need another class to rush through — you need space to slow down.

Whistle & Page workshops are designed for people who want more than a finished object. They’re for those craving a pause in the week, a grounding ritual, and the sweet satisfaction of making something with their own hands. Here, clay isn’t about perfection or productivity — it’s about presence.

You’ll be guided gently, not hurried. There’s room to think, to play, to chat, or to sit in comfortable silence. Whether you arrive feeling busy, burnt out, curious, or unsure, the clay meets you where you are — and often gives back more than you expect.

Every workshop is intentionally small, thoughtfully paced, and shaped around real life: parents and carers, creatives returning to themselves, couples, friends, and individuals simply wanting a softer way to connect. You’ll leave with one-of-a-kind pieces, yes — but also with steadier hands, a quieter mind, and the feeling of having done something just for you.

This isn’t mass-made creativity. It’s slow, human, and deeply considered — just like the work you’ll take home.

  • Pottery isn’t just a creative outlet — it’s proven to calm stress, enhance focus, and support emotional wellbeing. Working with clay encourages mindful presence and flow, helps regulate emotions, and builds confidence through creating something tangible. It engages the brain, body, and senses, strengthening mind-body connection, while group workshops foster social connection and community. In short, every session nurtures your mental health, leaving you calmer, more focused, and creatively fulfilled.

  • All materials, tools, and gentle, step-by-step guidance are provided — no experience needed. Finished pieces are glazed in soft white or clear and will be ready for collection in 4–6 weeks, with shipping available if you’re unable to collect.

Light refreshments are available before the session begins, so you can settle in, connect, and get ready to create.

Clay can be messy (in the best way), so please wear clothes you don’t mind getting dirty and closed-toe shoes. Trimmed nails are recommended for comfort and ease when working with clay. You’re welcome to bring along inspiration — photos, sketches, textures, or ideas you’d love to explore.

If you’re taking part in the 5-Week Pottery Low-Down, a notebook is included for note-taking, and capturing inspiration as it strikes.

Finished items must be collected or shipped within six weeks of notification.
