Terms & Conditions – Whistle & Page

Welcome to Whistle & Page! By using this website or making a purchase, you agree to the following terms and conditions. These terms are here to ensure a fair, friendly, and transparent experience for both you and me.

1. Handmade Nature of Products

All pottery pieces are handmade by me, Nawsheen Hyland, in my studio in Murrumbateman, NSW. Each item is unique, with variations in shape, size, texture, and glaze. These variations are part of the charm and magic of small-batch, handbuilt ceramics.

2. Shipping & Delivery

I currently ship within Australia. All orders are packed with care, using recycled or compostable materials when possible.

  • Processing Time: Please allow 3–5 business days for packing before dispatch.

  • Delivery Time: Shipping times vary depending on your location, and rural deliveries may take longer.

  • Local Pickup: Available from my Murrumbateman studio by appointment and other locations around Canberra, ACT. Please choose these options at checkout, and I will get in touch with you.

3. Returns & Exchanges

As each Whistle & Page piece is made with care and attention, I do not offer refunds or exchanges for change of mind. Please choose thoughtfully, knowing that your item will be one of a kind.

If your piece arrives damaged, please contact the shipping provider (Australia Post or Sendle). If your piece does not function as intended (e.g., a pourer that won't pour or a cup that is not food-safe), please get in touch within three days of receiving your order. I'll always work with you to find a solution.

4. Workshops

  • Bookings: Payment is required at the time of booking to secure your place.

  • Cancellations by You: If life happens and you can't make it, please let me know as soon as possible. I'll do my best to accommodate you in a future session.

  • Cancellations by Me: If I need to cancel (e.g., illness or extreme weather), you’ll receive a full refund or credit toward a future workshop—your choice.

5. Intellectual Property & Copyright Protection

All artwork, illustrations, pottery designs, digital downloads, written content, and other creative works produced by me under Whistle & Page are protected under the Copyright Act 1968 (Cth). As the sole creator, I retain full copyright ownership of all works, including physical products, digital artwork, workshop materials, illustrations, and product designs.

You are not allowed to reproduce, copy, store, distribute, adapt, publish, transmit, or display any content from this website without my prior written consent. Unauthorised use constitutes a breach of Australian copyright law and may result in legal action.

For workshop participants, all templates, techniques, and styles shared in workshops remain my intellectual property. You are welcome to use the skills learned to create original pieces, but copying my work for resale, online tutorials, or commercial purposes is prohibited.

6. Privacy Policy

Your privacy is important to me. By using this website, you consent to the collection and use of your personal information as outlined in the Privacy Policy. Please review it to ensure you're informed about how your data is handled.

8. Terms of Sale

When you place an order, you're offering to buy my products based on the following:

  • Contract: The contract is confirmed once I've dispatched your items, not when you receive the confirmation email.

  • Pricing & Availability: While I strive to ensure accuracy, mistakes can happen. If there's an error in pricing, I’ll contact you to either confirm the order at the correct price or cancel it.

  • Payment: Payment is processed upon receipt of your order. Your card will be debited once authorised, and payment will be final once your goods are dispatched.
