Postmarked from Murrumbateman.

A year of letters, pottery and little reasons to look forward to the post.

I have always loved the idea that something can leave one person's hands and, days later, turn up in someone else's life.

A letter. A postcard. A little painting. A piece of pottery made on an ordinary Wednesday afternoon in a studio in Murrumbateman.

So I’ve made something that lets me do more of it, because I think it is a little bit magical.

Whistle & Page Studio Post is my seasonal snail mail subscription from Murrumbateman, Australia, created for people who still like letters, handmade things, good stories and the particular thrill of opening the letterbox to find something that isn't a bill.

Four times a year, something will leave my studio and make its way to you. Depending on which post you choose, it might be a seasonal letter filled with stories and studio news, an excerpt from The Journal, original watercolour artwork, collectible stickers, a creative invitation, a handmade ceramic piece, or the whole lot.

I want it to feel like receiving something from a friend who has been thinking about you while they were making things.

Not another notification. Not another thing to achieve. Just something made with care, arriving at your door and asking you to stop for a moment and have a look.

Because I think we need more reasons to write to one another, more reasons to make things with our hands, and more reminders that creativity does not have to earn its place in our lives by being useful.

Sometimes it can simply make an afternoon better. And sometimes, that is more than enough.

The first 50

Become a founding member of Whistle & Page Studio Post.

Because this is the very first year, I’m beginning with 50 founding places for the inaugural year of Studio Post.

These are the people who will be there for the very first post, as this little idea finds its feet and grows into whatever it is meant to become.

And I wanted to give those first 50 people something more than a number.

Every founding member will receive a special handmade Founding Member Token.

I’ll make a small ceramic token especially for the inaugural year, celebrating your place in the very beginning of Studio Post.

Each token will be individually numbered 1–50, making it a little keepsake of the year you joined.

It is not a loyalty reward or something you need to earn. It is simply my way of saying:

You were here at the beginning.

Your Founding Member Token will travel with your first Studio Post, alongside your Passport and first sticker.

Once the first 50 founding places are filled, founding membership will close and, if there is enough interest, I’ll open a waitlist for future places.

The inaugural mail-out leaves the studio on 15 November 2026, looking back at Spring and welcoming Summer.

Fifty founding members. One first post. A whole year of good mail.

Choose your post

There are three ways to join Whistle & Page Studio Post, depending on whether you are here for the letters, the pottery or would quite like someone else to make the decision for you.

The Correspondent

Seasonal snail mail from Whistle & Page

$29 per season · $99 per year

For people who like letters, stories, paper things and having something lovely arrive in the letterbox.

The Correspondent is the most paper-filled part of Studio Post, although there will be a little clay involved because I am, after all, a potter.

Each seasonal post includes:

The Whistleblower
A printed seasonal edition bringing together stories, studio news and ideas from the months since the last physical edition.

The Journal Card
An excerpt from my latest essay in The Journal, whether it is something I have spent weeks researching or simply something I have been thinking and feeling my way through. A QR code will let you continue reading the full piece online if you fancy it.

A Seasonal Assignment + Journal Prompt
A little invitation to notice, make, write or wonder. There is no marking, no deadline and absolutely no expectation that you will suddenly become the sort of person who completes every journal prompt.

Three original watercolour stickers
Painted by me and made into collectible die-cuts, with one representing each month of the season. They are little pieces of original Whistle & Page artwork to collect, use or keep.

An original Whistle & Page art postcard

A small handmade ceramic keepsake
Because apparently one cannot send a letter from a pottery studio without putting a little clay in the envelope somewhere.

Your Whistle & Page Passport
Your first Correspondent includes your Passport and first sticker.

If you are one of our 50 founding members, your numbered Founding Member Token will also be included with your inaugural post.

Australian postage is included.

Four seasons. Four pieces of mail. Plenty to look forward to.

The Maker’s Post

A year in your hands.

$69 per season · $229 per year

For those who would rather receive something they can hold, use and eventually become emotionally attached to.

Each season, I’ll make a small batch of handmade ceramic pieces especially for Studio Post members.

And no, it will not always be a mug.

It might be a vase, matcha bowl, cereal bowl, wheel-thrown cup, handbuilt piece or something entirely new that has been taking up too much room in my sketchbook.

The shape will change with the season, the studio and whatever I am particularly excited to make at the time. What will remain the same is that each piece will be made by my hands, in my studio, for the people who have chosen to receive it.

Each piece will come with its own story card, and members will receive first access before anything is offered more widely.

Your first Maker’s Post also includes your Whistle & Page Passport and first sticker, and founding members will receive their numbered Founding Member Token with their inaugural Studio Post.

Australian postage is included.

Four seasons. Four pieces of pottery. One very good excuse to put the kettle on.

The Full Post

The whole Whistle & Page letterbox experience.

$89 per season · $299 per year

If choosing between letters and pottery feels like an unnecessary decision, I completely understand.

The Full Post brings together The Correspondent and The Maker’s Post, giving you the seasonal stories, artwork, stickers, creative invitations and ceramic keepsake, along with a handmade ceramic piece from the studio.

Seasonal plans purchased separately would be $98. The Full Post is $89.

Annual plans purchased separately would be $328. The Full Post is $299.

Your Full Post also includes your Whistle & Page Passport and first sticker, while founding members receive their numbered Founding Member Token as part of the inaugural year.

Australian postage is included.

Letters to read. Pottery to live with. Stories to collect.

The Whistle & Page Passport

Collect stories, not points.

Your Passport is not a loyalty card, because I have no interest in turning creativity into a spreadsheet.

It is a little record of your participation in the Whistle & Page community.

You can collect stickers by taking part in seasonal assignments, writing back, joining The Paper Trail Club, participating in future Studio Post activities and selected special projects.

Your first Correspondent, Maker's Post or Full Post includes your Passport and first sticker.

Collect five stickers and I’ll make you a handmade Whistle & Page Cosy Cup as a thank-you.

Because sometimes showing up deserves a little something to put your tea in.

You’ve got mail. Now, you can write back too.

The whole point of sending something is that it has somewhere to go.

If you feel like writing back, you can send correspondence to the Whistle & Page studio letterbox or PO Box.

You don't need to write anything profound. “I saw this saying and thought of you” is a perfectly good reason to put a stamp on something.

Some correspondence will stay between us. Occasionally, with your permission, I may share a letter, story or response with the wider community.

Because I don't want Studio Post to be something that just travels in one direction.

I want it to create little threads between people who may never otherwise have met. A postcard from one town. A letter from another. A story that makes someone laugh. A thought that makes someone stop. A piece of pottery sitting on a kitchen bench, slowly becoming part of someone's everyday life.

That is the bit I really love.

Four seasons. One year.

I started Whistle & Page because I wanted to make things that carried stories.

Over the years, those stories have found their way into pottery, books, paintings, letters, workshops and conversations with people I might never have met otherwise.

Studio Post is an extension of that.

It is a way of sending something beyond the studio walls and into the homes, kitchens, desks and lives of people who have chosen to come along for the journey.

I think there is still value in making something slowly enough to hold it in your hands before you send it away, and in writing to someone just because you thought of them. And I think there is definitely value in having something arrive that does not ask you to click, scroll, respond or perform. Particularly in lives that are already full, we deserve more things that remind us that being curious and creative is not something we have to grow out of.

So this is my invitation. Choose your post. I'll make it here in Murrumbateman. I'll put a stamp on it. And I'll send it your way.
