Mugzilla | Pre-order

from $70.00

For the thinkers, the daydreamers, and anyone who believes every sip deserves a little ceremony.

The Mugzilla is made for long mornings, slow afternoons, and evenings when you just need a comforting cup in hand. Think: your palms wrapped around warm, hand-shaped clay, steam curling into the air, and a sip that makes the world soften at the edges. With a generous 350–400ml capacity, it’s perfect for second cups, long chats, or that tea break you promised yourself 30 minutes ago.

Because of its size, the Mugzilla comes with a handle — sturdy, comfy, and perfect for curling your fingers around. You can choose between two playful shapes:

  • Round-bellied: soft, generous curves that feel like a little hug.

  • Curvy: a sleek, flowing silhouette that’s elegant and fun to hold.

Lovingly handmade in my Murrumbateman studio, no two Mugzillas are ever the same. Slight quirks, glaze drips, and subtle asymmetries are part of their charm — proof a human made them, not a factory.

These aren’t mugs for rushing. They’re mugs for rituals — slow sips, soft light, and moments that feel like your own.

At a Glance:

  • Handmade & one of a kind, perfectly imperfect

  • Holds approx. 350–400ml of tea, coffee, or cocoa comfort

  • Handled for ease and comfort

  • Choose your shape: Round-bellied or Curvy

  • Choose your colour family: earthy, vibrant, soft, or classic white

  • Made to order | Pre-orders now open

Mugzilla: For when your drink deserves to be held — and your day deserves to slow down.

Note: Size and shape vary slightly—just like our moods before coffee. Also, due to the alchemy of glaze and fire, final colours may differ. That’s the handmade magic.

How to care for your handmade pottery

Handcrafted & One of a Kind

Each Mugzilla is handmade in my Murrumbateman studio, wheel-thrown, shaped, trimmed, glazed, and finished by hand. With a generous 350–400ml capacity and a comfy handle, it’s perfect for long coffees, multiple rounds of tea, or hot chocolate you’re definitely not sharing.

Choose your shape: Round-bellied for a soft, hug-like curve, or Curvy for a sleek, elegant silhouette. No two Mugzillas are ever the same — slight quirks, glaze drips, and subtle asymmetries are part of the charm.

A Slow & Intentional Process

Because even Mugzillas deserve the full spa treatment.

  • Days 1–2: Thrown on the wheel. Each Mugzilla is shaped with care, then left to rest, like me after hauling in groceries.

  • Days 3–6: Trimming and handle attachment. Handles are pulled and attached by hand, then mugs rest in a damp box to dry slowly — no cracking under pressure.

  • Days 7–10: Bisque firing. The kiln transforms soft clay into sturdy ceramic, ready to hold your drinks (and your thoughts).

  • Days 11–13: Glazing. Each mug is brushed by hand with multiple layers of glaze, building colour and personality.

  • Days 14–16: Glaze firing and finishing. Colours settle, bottoms are sanded smooth, and mugs get a warm soapy bath — because they, and you, deserve it.
