This one-of-a-kind piece was made and glazed by my own two hands. Made with the principle of Wabi-Sabi, where we are encouraged to find beauty in imperfection and accept the more natural cycle of life. The concept reminds us that everything, including us and life itself, is impermanent, incomplete, and imperfect. Perfection, then, is impossible, and impermanence is the only way.

This little darling is a labour of love, taking extra time and care to create gorgeous little shapes out of slabs of clay, some with additional carving and engraving. It’s all worth it though, as it adds extra depth and intrigue.

Every one of my creations has a piece of my soul embedded in it, and I truly hope it brings you as much joy using it as it brought me making them for you.

While these stoneware vessels can withstand light microwave and dishwasher use (top shelf), I strongly recommend handwashing only for longevity.

Fun Fact: I'm obsessed with houses —little clay ones, tin (tea/biscuit) ones, vintage figurine ones, vase/planter ones, teapot-shaped ones, cartoon/painted/drawn ones, and don't even get me started on the real ones on the street... I'm obsessed! And if I had to pinpoint how this obsession came to be, I would say it's because of that old house in Paris that was covered in vines. I used to watch Madeline after school in the '90s and truly fell in love with that house and all the goings on in it. So naturally, when came to making paint palettes, I had to base them roughly on that house.
