The Snack Pact Dish | Pre-order

$45.00

For snacks that need boundaries, but still want to feel loved.

The Snack Pact Dish isn’t here to just hold your nibbles. It’s here to make peace at the platter. Roughly 20 cm across, handbuilt with a single divider, this little dish quietly negotiates the delicate art of snack diplomacy: pistachios & shells over here, olives & pits over there, chips & guac taking the prime corner.

It’s handmade slowly in my muddy Murrumbateman studio—usually with dogs underfoot, and me hoping the glaze gods are feeling generous. Every dish is one of a kind because harmony—and clay—rarely comes in perfect matching sets. Satin-white glaze meets exposed raw clay edges for a piece that’s both elegant and earthy.

Keep it on your snack table, your sideboard, or the kid’s lunch corner. Functional, playful, and designed to make your life a tiny bit easier (and a lot more charming).

At a Glance:

  • Handbuilt, one-of-a-kind, and snack-ready

  • Approx. 20 cm in diameter x 3–4 cm high

  • Finished in a soft satin-white glaze with a natural clay edge—or choose a glaze that speaks to you.

  • Perfect for olives, nuts, chips & dips, or anything that needs a little separation

  • Handmade to order | Pre-orders now open

The Snack Pact Dish: Because snacks deserve a little peace, too.

Note: Size and shape vary slightly—just like our moods before coffee. Also, due to the alchemy of glaze and fire, final colours may differ. That’s the handmade magic.

How to care for your handmade pottery

Handcrafted & One of a Kind

Each Snack Pact Dish is handmade in my Murrumbateman studio with intention, clay dust, and a dash of chaos (usually a dog underfoot or a small human asking about cherry pits). Handbuilt and glazed by hand in satin white—or a glaze of your choice—with a natural clay edge for earthy charm.

No two are the same: slight variations in shape, glaze, and clay give each dish a unique personality. Perfect for olives & pits, pistachios & shells, chips & guacamole, or any snacks that need their own space.

A Slow & Intentional Process

Because even small dishes deserve the full spa treatment.

  • Day 1–2: The clay is hand-rolled and shaped, the divider carefully placed, edges smoothed. Like me before coffee, it needs a little time to gather itself.

  • Days 3–16: The dish dries slowly for two whole weeks, giving the clay time to strengthen and relax. During this period, I refine edges and the exposed clay, shaping every corner by hand.

  • Days 17–18: Bisque firing transforms the dish from soft, pliable clay into a durable ceramic ready to hold your snacks (and your sanity).

  • Days 19–20: Glazing begins. Satin-white or a glaze of your choice is carefully brushed on in layers—no dipping, no shortcuts. The clay peeks through here and there for character and charm.

  • Days 21–22: Glaze firing brings the finish to life. Colours melt, settle, and reveal subtle drips, textures, and depth. Finally, the dish is sanded smooth and given a gentle soapy bath, ready for action.
