Handcrafted & One of a Kind

Each piece is shaped and refined by hand, ensuring a unique finish. The platter’s scalloped handle is carefully sculpted, while the dip bowl and spoon echo this delicate ripple, creating a harmonious trio. The exposed red clay provides a beautiful contrast against the soft, matte glaze, highlighting the artistry of slow-made ceramics.

A Slow & Intentional Process

Each piece goes through a thoughtful process of creation:

  • Day 1-2: Slab rolling and shaping the platter, forming the bowl and spoon.

  • Day 3-5: Refining details, smoothing edges, and carving the scallop design.

  • Day 6: Glazing the surfaces while leaving areas of red clay exposed.

  • Day 7: Firing to bring the pieces to life with their final finish.

  • Day 8: Sanding and final touches, followed by a warm soapy bath—ready to elevate your space.

Acknowledgement of Country

At Whistle & Page, we respectfully acknowledge the Traditional Custodians of the lands, skies, and waters where we live, work, and create — in particular, the Ngunnawal and Ngambri Peoples of the Yass Valley, NSW. We honour their enduring connection to Country, and pay deep respect to Elders past and present, as well as emerging leaders carrying stories, knowledge, and culture forward. We recognise the unbroken strength, creativity, and wisdom of Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander Peoples, and the continuation of cultural, spiritual, and educational practices that have existed on this land for tens of thousands of years. Sovereignty was never ceded. This always was, and always will be, Aboriginal land.
