Handcrafted & One of a Kind
This tray began as a simple slab of clay, rolled out and shaped by hand. The rippled edge was carefully formed, pinched and coaxed into place, then smoothed and refined until it felt just right beneath my fingertips. No wheel, no moulds — only slow, intentional handwork and patience. Every soft curve tells the story of its making.
A Slow & Intentional Process
Each piece goes through a thoughtful process of creation:
Day 1: Rolled, shaped, crinkled, smoothed.
Days 2–3: Dried slowly, refined, and prepared for firing.\
Days 4–6: A single kiln firing — a three-day process of gradual heating, reaching over 1200°C, then cooling slowly to ensure strength and durability.
Day 7: Sanded smooth and given a warm, soapy bath — ready for its next home.
