Handcrafted & One of a Kind

Each tray begins with a smooth slab of rich red clay, shaped and refined entirely by hand. The interior is glazed in a serene blue, evoking the calm of a rainy day. Every piece is unique, with subtle variations that make it distinctly yours.

A Slow & Intentional Process

Each piece goes through a thoughtful process of creation:

  • Day 1: Rolling, compressing, and shaping the clay.

  • Day 2: Drying, smoothing, and refining edges for a perfect finish.

  • Day 3: Glazing the interior with a soft blue, reminiscent of rain-washed skies.

  • Day 4–6: Firing, which takes three days to ensure strength and durability.

  • Day 7: Sanding and a warm soapy bath to finish.

Acknowledgement of Country

At Whistle & Page, we respectfully acknowledge the Traditional Custodians of the lands, skies, and waters where we live, work, and create — in particular, the Ngunnawal and Ngambri Peoples of the Yass Valley, NSW. We honour their enduring connection to Country, and pay deep respect to Elders past and present, as well as emerging leaders carrying stories, knowledge, and culture forward. We recognise the unbroken strength, creativity, and wisdom of Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander Peoples, and the continuation of cultural, spiritual, and educational practices that have existed on this land for tens of thousands of years. Sovereignty was never ceded. This always was, and always will be, Aboriginal land.
