Handcrafted & One of a Kind

Each Mosscap Vase is entirely hand sculpted, with every curve and flare of the vase formed by hand. The rich, earthy glaze is carefully applied, and the use of sgraffito technique allows for an added layer of artistry, giving the vase its distinct, textured appearance.

A Slow & Intentional Process

Like all Whistle & Page pieces, this vase is crafted through a thoughtful, detailed process:

  • Day 1-2: Rolling, shaping, and hand-building the vase into its mushroom-like form, using the sgraffito technique to carve intricate details.

  • Day 3-5: Slow drying and refining to perfect the texture and shape.

  • Day 6-7: Applying the olive green and deep brown glaze to create a mossy, earthy effect.

  • Day 8-9: High-temperature firing, where the glaze reaches its final, glossy finish.

  • Day 10: Sanding and the final soapy bath to reveal its natural beauty, ready to showcase your favorite stem or flower.
