Handcrafted & One of a KindHandcrafted & One of a Kind

Each Harvest Wave board is truly one of a kind—no moulds, no duplicates, just clay shaped by touch and instinct. I begin with a humble slab of rich, russet clay, rolling, compressing, and forming every ripple with my own hands. The curves flow as they want to, guided by the natural rhythm of making. No two are ever the same, each one carrying the quiet imprint of its maker.

A Slow & Intentional Process

Bringing The Harvest Wave to life takes time—days of careful tending before it reaches your table.

  • Day 1-2: Rolling out the clay, compressing to strengthen, and shaping the flowing edges.

  • Day 3-5: Slow drying under covers to prevent cracking, followed by the first refining touch.

  • Day 6-7: Finessing the form—smoothing, softening, and ensuring the divots nestle just right.

  • Day 8-9: The first firing transforms it from raw clay to bisqueware.

  • Day 10-11: Glazing by hand, layering the speckled stone finish to enhance its organic beauty.

  • Day 12-14: The final firing, where flame and heat work their alchemy.

  • Day 15: Sanding, a warm soapy bath, and then, finally, it’s ready for your hands.

  • Length: 40cm | Width: 18cm | Weight: 1.2kg

Acknowledgement of Country

At Whistle & Page, we respectfully acknowledge the Traditional Custodians of the lands, skies, and waters where we live, work, and create — in particular, the Ngunnawal and Ngambri Peoples of the Yass Valley, NSW. We honour their enduring connection to Country, and pay deep respect to Elders past and present, as well as emerging leaders carrying stories, knowledge, and culture forward. We recognise the unbroken strength, creativity, and wisdom of Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander Peoples, and the continuation of cultural, spiritual, and educational practices that have existed on this land for tens of thousands of years. Sovereignty was never ceded. This always was, and always will be, Aboriginal land.
